The Knot is an affordable 2 place Highwing Microlight
UPDATE:2009 This project has been placed on hold.
As a result of the high crime in South Africa we were forced to stop all development on this project.
I don't want to use this page as a political soapbox, but their goal has been achieved.
No more white pilots at that airfield and no more foreign investors.

No more jobs? Oh well, who wants to work anyway if you can just TAKE what you want?

We have eventually finished the taildraggger prototype of the Knot. A lot of changes have been made since we originally designed the concept. Most of them were based on your comments on our older pages, some of them were done based on our own preferences based on experience with too small cockpits whilst training in other aircraft
A lot of you have been following the concept I have had since 1992. You will also remember that I woul not and did not take deposits to fund a new project from the drawing board. I am glad to say, she is already registered as ZU - DMY .

Thanks to all those who have believed in this project from day one.

Initially we were going to make the Knot available to flight schools at a discounted price so that she can be thrashed (as it happens in schools), for us to get feedback on how tough she really is, before we sell to the export market.

If anyone knows what the rules are in their country for us to sell you plans, we will consider it.

Prototype is a taildragger.
A nosewheel is next.

A very wide cabin of more than 1220 mm/48 inches Intalling the Rotax engine and engine Mount.
The mount was manufactured for

 us by Monty from BushBaby.

So what is the bottom line?
She could be built from a quickbuild-kit or ready to fly no "plans only" as yet. Nosewheel or Taildragger. Different engine/instruments options.
We envisage a almost Ready To Fly price of under R200,000.00
No Radio/intercom/headsets/instruments.
